THIS IS A LOVE STORY AND A CONCEPTUAL ART PROJECT
“Until this day: 356 people has been single-married”
Love Symposium In Solo “Love In Solo” is a conceptual art project that reopened for the third time on Stockholm Pride 2011.
This project has its own blog! Follow it here!
“I believe that everyone has the right to celebrate love no matter gender and no matter where the love goes! Have you heard of the saying “You must love yourself to be able to love someone else”? My artwork is about that. To be able to love yourself!”
I have built a pyramid in mirrors where you as a visitor are welcome to sit and embrace your inner worlds. Watch how your image duplicates itself, like in a kaleidoscope. A place where you can say yes to yourself and all of what is you! You are surrounded by crystals, prisms, soap bubbles, ultraviolet light and a hundred My Little Ponies, which stands as your witnesses!
Everything is filmed (If you don’t mind) to be apart of larger video documentation of this project!
Let the love come, let flow, let it out!
HISTORY
This is a 3 years long project that started in the spring 2010. The artwork has been shown at the Pony Sugar gallery in Stockholm and at the Cinema Queer Festival in Stockholm. It has been invited to exhibit in other countries and the plan is to go on world tour that is being scheduled at this very moment!
In the first exhibition I invited other artists to participated, interpret and contribute to the theme of single-weddings! The result was fantastic!
Maria Melinder, designed a unisex wedding dress!
Kajsa Åman, designed three variations of wedding rings!
Krister LInder, contributed with his music!
Jonas “Ziggy” Rasmusson, did a wall painting of a Pony!
Gullmarsplans blommor designed two variants of wedding bouquets!
Thank you all! So much fun to work with you!
